Father's Day With Mother

My mother will be 91 soon and didn't remember going to Devil's Lake before. I think she'll remember this day, it was a good one.

    1. I wish every dog was mine, but I'm only a pet sitter, waah. This is a great spot for a hot pooch that loves water.

    1. It was nice for both of us, Ida. This guy, Gunner, was just going along with his mom, dad, and dog sister. I'm not sure how much German Shepherds like to swim.

  3. Our family had a German Shepherd years ago and she loved to swim. Our daughter has a big black lab and she swims with us now.

    1. She did? I didn't know they cared about the water. One of my friends grew up on the lake and her Shepherd would go for a swim now and again, but acted like, meh. Ha, ha, I guess I'm used to labs.

  8. Those are some dynamite pictures! Wow, I could almost feel the coolness of the beautiful blue water. I've never seen blue water in person, but I will... some day.... I will. Thanks so much for sharing.

    1. Devils Lake is one of the few lakes I'll swim in any more and except for the occasional swimmer's itch warning, pretty sweet, Marie. I think the best lakes r still way up north though.

  9. Hi, thanks for sharing your happy moments! Thanks also for your visit and comment. Bricks cannot bow themselves, but a brickwall can. The use of wall anchors is an old way of securing floors so that they can't fall down. Now builders use other ways to prevent walls from breaking.
I am not familiar with these building methods.
    Have a great week.

    1. Hi RW, so putting them in a wall is what causes the bow and those cool anchor braces prevent that...That is very cool and interesting, that's for letting me know about the old process. You have a great week, too, Wil.

    1. Well it was mostly driving since my mother has a hard time getting around and enjoys sitting in the car and AC listening to Frank Sinatra, Sanchita. But I do love getting out and about taking photos. Dogs, water, and photography, the trifecta.

    1. It is despite the crowd, Deborah. People have a tendency to be so happy I've never had any real issues, especially away from the main parking lots and beaches.
