Hampers of Ironing

I had a demon tooth pulled at the end of the week.  It had a cap and two root canals and should have been extracted years ago but I was determined to keep it since it's cost more than my next car.
Today is my last day of pain pills and I keep thinking of this scene from Hairspray.

"Now I've got nothing but hampers of ironing to do and my diet pill is wearing off."

I also keep thinking of Rami Malek's Emmy acceptance speech.

"Please tell me you're seeing this too."

I took some shots of a sullen lake and fall campers surrounded by puddles today (with the thought of posting a Camper Van Beethoven video), but my pain pill had worn off and this shot made me laugh. Haha. Ouch.

Confirms my belief that the joke is on me

Without further ado, my last four days in song.

  1. Ooooh, ow, ow, ow. My sympathies are with you. I sure know what you mean about not wanting to get rid of teeth that you have spent a small fortune to fix. Best of luck with it.

  4. Oh sorry, hope your pain will dissipate soon:( Love Mr. and Mrs. Cow, but don't know who Rami Malek is (except for that he/she got an Emmy). Many thanks for forging through your pain and contributing this to SEASONS! Wishing you a comfortable week!

  5. It's a bit better now, J, thanks. He's the lead in Mr. Robot a most excellent and disturbing show on the USA network who was less and less sure that what he as seeing was real.

    1. There were a few pieces of barn art I like, Ida. I don't remember getting teeth pulled being this much of an ordeal as a kid, it was all "Let me see that" and yank, it was gone.

  16. Ouch. Hope your dentist is better than the one in Little Shop of Horrors. I think of an old Little Rascals show whenever somebody talks about pulling a tooth.
