Summer Temporarily Closed

I took a break from cleaning the storage area under the stairs—think Harry Potter without the door—to go outside yesterday.

The "Temporarily" part raises some questions.

One of my favorite beaches used to be a parking lot so I can't take the word, "Temporarily" too seriously.

I ended up near my old stomping grounds after getting stuck in an emergency vehicle jam then spit out shaken not stirred.

There were signs of flooding everywhere with mosquitos large enough to carry away bicyclists. I can't imagine what it looks like up north except I can because here are some photos.

    1. I bet you guys would find it fascinating, maybe not all the water so much.

  2. The up north pictures are horrific. That's a lot of water and a lot of damage.

    Have a fabulous day. ♥

    1. I know there's a Taco Bell joke in there somewhere, Sandee, but yes, horrific is a good description.

    1. I'm glad I wasn't traveling last week, FDW, I think some people are put out of their homes not too far away, makes me feel lucky.

  8. Too bad it was flooded! Wow this was "taking a break" with some upheavels!
About your comment on the JeshStudio blog (thank you for your visit:) ) - if I'm not mistaken you had in the past a wordpress blog?
Sorry, I have to investigate about why you were not able to comment there, because are closed - that is the downside of wordpress, each blog theme has their own rules and peculiarities (the creators are all techies, and they forget normal people forget about those kind of things, and they don't think it's cool to have to change the rules everytime!!! Anyways, hope good things will come to us in our weekend, blog Friend:)

    1. And I don't feel as if I got much of anything really sorted during the week of rain, J. I still do use Word Press but I thought I'd call it a "website" since I don't keep it up much. I upload a feature story or photo or update here and there. But yes, WP, I've never gotten so much spam as when I did have WP blogs so this last time I just disabled the comments and called it a "website." I wasn't crazy about the themes and some people from my old blog (now calling that one an "archive") claimed to have issues leaving comments on Word Press.
I agree, but being techies you'd think they would pay attention to the other most popular blogging site.

  9. Wow -- I guess we got out of Duluth just soon enough! We did see and feel a few of the Minnesota State bird while we were there (scratch). Didn't even think to ask my SIL about the weather in bemedji when I let her know last week that we'd made it home.

    1. Woo hoo, you're back home. Ha, yes Mini Soda aka, North Western WI has their share of skeeters too. Glad you made it cross countries and didn't have to deal with the weather, hope it's not too hot up there for you but should be better than where you left.
