While My Family Was Talking Halloween Edition

When the conversation turned to horse pasta which they allegedly make in our grandpa's hometown of Scala, Italy I turned to my point-and-shoot.

I have never figured it out how to win at Peg Solitaire at the Cracker Barrel (or anywhere else for that matter)

Am seriously thinking of getting the broom with the light up eyeball

I would so buy this kind of candy for Halloween if any kids ever came through the building

  3. I used to live in that region as a teen. I remember Scala, but I don't remember horse pasta. Now how best to display a broom with an eye..... #MySundayPhoto

    1. We spent some time there years ago and the subject of cooking with horse never came up. I don't remember seeing any horses either! I think the porch might be the ticket, Cheryl.

    1. Don't you love those big lollipops? I think The Wizard of Oz had something to do with my lollipop obsession.

    1. Oh, cool, I was just saying I don't pay enough attention to video, too short of an attention span. I'll have to check those out.

    1. The butler was a bit creepy, but I could see putting the broom out at Halloween.

  8. This morning I thought about making Halloween scary scarecrows and sticking them in the front yard. That desire passed quickly. But then I read your post and that thought stirred again. Maybe.

    1. Maybe when you get done with your key chimes. I'd like to see that. I thought about putting up decorations today and had every intention of doing so but then didn't.

  9. We haven't lived where there are trick or treaters for years. So we get to eat all the candy ourselves. Win-win!!

    1. I guess me neither since I've lived here for so long but every once in a while there'll be a kid in the building and I set up a little candy stand with everything I would have wanted as a kid plus toys. Yes, why not get what you want to snack on.

  10. oh yes the broom that can look you in the eye. I am told they bus kids in to our neighborhood for halloween. We better stock up on candy, cheap candy.

    1. Ha, I know they bus them in by my cousins, but I think we're too far down the hill for the kids to roll down here. I keep getting candy every year though.
