Dancing In The Streets

Oktoberfest in this small Swiss town welcomes the fall with music and dancing and the best bratwurst around.

Not to mention Pastries and Cakes

Pronounced "braht" and short for bratwurst as in, "If you give your kid a brat he won't be such a brat."

I forgot to take a Ruef's brat pic so enjoy this photo of Dexter taking an interest in one of their landjaegers

  1. Dancing in the streets for brats sounds like fun

    1. Or maybe they were dancing off the brats, but they didn't stop dancing that I saw.

  2. Looks like fun! Does that really work with brats?

    1. It worked with me, Brian, and a bigger brat there never was, haha.

    1. It's a very warm community. The band that played is very popular around the state and from New Glarus. It's not very far away and there's often a festival or event going on.

  4. ooo la! That's some fancy dancin'
Did you tango in the streets? Polka? Gotta play to win!

The eyeglasses in my post are for sale at Nicks Garden Center in Aurora CO and more than most humans want to pay for a Halloween decoration, so they were still there. I wanted them too, Can't remember the cost, probably around $50 or more but way cool. Why is the cool stuff cost so much?

    1. I did, cuz some guy grabbed me to dance right when I got there, cameras at the ready and all. No polkas when I got there but earlier I'm sure. No biggie, I polkaed enough in my youth to last a lifetime.
Those eyeglasses almost looked like they were part of the door. That is pricey, maybe you can get a better price if they don't sell, keep an eye on it, get it, eye on it.

  5. No brats for brats. That ought to stop brats from being ones.

  10. Hi Jeanna, that chap in the top photo is really pulling moves, love the hip tilt. A meaty brat followed by a nice slice of cake sounds like the sort of festival I would enjoy... Did Dexter getto enjoy the landjaeger?

  11. Beer, bratwurst - what's not to like? Although, in fairness, no need to wait until October to sample either ...

  12. I love Octoberfests. They are grand fun. I like dancing in the streets too.

I linked Dexter to Feline Friday.

Have a purrfect day and week. ♥

  13. That's a great action shot there -- the dancers are having so much fun. Octoberfests are fun even out here in the wilds of the Pacific Northwest, but I don't think brats taste as good as they do "up North".

  14. Learned the difference between yummy and so-so bratwurst in Berlin - and the good one is very addictive! Only I wonder if they would dance in the streets in the real Schweiz (Switserland):) What are landjaegers? Many thanks for sharing the local festivities with All Seasons going on in your area:)
About your comment:It was in jest that I said Holland is OCD, but in cleaning I was never a typical Dutch housewife since cleaning comes for me on the bottom of the list! Also, to be clean and tidy does not make for good artists, haha:) Have a festive week!
