Cheap Shot

I've been ignoring my better, heavier Canon and relying on my cheaper, lighter,  tough camera.
It might not take the best photos but I love its Impressive Art filter even though it feels like cheating.

Filter or no we've had way too much rain and the Farmer's are in Dire Straits

Linking up with Yogi's Skywatch Friday.

  1. We've had a wet winter and spring here too. The farmers are not happy indeed.

    Love the video.

Have a fabulous day and weekend. ♥

    1. It's crazy, isn't it, I'm not sure what's going to happen but it's probably not going to be good.
Hope you're celebrating on your boat as I type.

  2. I love your tough camera shot. I'm sure your heavy camera is good also. I use my little toughie and my phone a lot.

    1. Thanks Yogi, it always feels like I'm taking the easy way out when I use my pocket tough...because, well I am. I was considering a Fujifilm cropped sensor before I move up to another lens for the Canon. Just looking at it makes me want to buy one.

  3. Some beautiful colored ripples in the water. We've also had a wet spring, not not as bad as the Midwest has had.

    1. It's a nice spot and both waitresses had just said they didn't care if it was going to rain (it's always going to rain) and opened up the windows.

  4. My legs are still sore from lugging around my heavy camera and lenses on my last hike! Excellent photos, but you pay the price. I may be forced to a lighter camera soon. Beautiful photo, and I'm a big Dire Straights/Mark Knopfler fan!

    1. That looked like a great hike too and I don't envy you hauling all that around. Are you ever worried about sand? I miss Dire Straits, they remind me of the 80s and the original MTV.

  6. You use whatever you want--just because 'the world' says you should use a different camera doesn't make them right! I think your shots are great!

    1. I know, I'm sometimes a sucker under peer pressure, Betty. Thank you that's very sweet of you to say.

    1. Me too, I kind of miss the 80s (but I'll never admit I said that).

    1. It's getting to be an issue again this year. It's cool how many people like and remember Dire Straits.

  10. I like the painting look to the water by the docks. I don't even know if I can steadily hold up a heavy camera anymore.
