We Got Lots of Them
I thought these girls were selling lemonade last Sunday, but to my delight they were selling rocks. My cousin and I would throw rocks when we were kids and it never dawned on us to go into business. In no way do I condone throwing rocks unless it's rock candy and then be careful because sugar can be dangerous.
So here's to these beautiful young entrepreneurs, long may they rock.
"Oh rocks, I got lots of them, they keep throwing and missing meeee."
Notice the tip jar
Happy to buy a rock probably found in her yard
If you live in Dane County there's a friendly group you can join called Dane Country ROCKS! that paints and hides rocks for people to find and rehide. Rock on.
Hi Jeanna, that is funny. We only ever threw rocks too, usually to get things out of trees. That was until one landed on my head and I ended up in A&E with a huge 'I told you so' lecture from my parents. These girls are far more savvy than I ever was!
I'll say we weren't getting things out of trees and leave it at that. Ohhh, were you hit in the head with the rock you threw? Dang, a lecture was the last thing you needed I'm sure. Yeah, me too, we were more on the juvenile delinquent side of things.
These girls look very happy with their venture! I think my son was 7 when he gave his grandma a big rock (from our back yard) as a Christmas present! (We tried our hardest not to laugh!) That sounds like a neat rock group:):)Thank you for sharing this genius idea with All Seasons! Have a happy rock week:)
I love it, I bet grandma was over the moon, I miss those kinds of presents so much. Oh boy, do I have a follow up story about finding a rock for the rock group, J. Should have posted about it yesterday but too wiped out.
Yes, I agree, although I still get thirsty for lemonade every time I pass by their spot. Don't forget Pop Rocks and Rock Candy, Gummi Rocks and Rocky Road, Sallie.
When someone has the entrepreneur attitude , they are very creative and find all kinds of things to sell. Looks like they are having fun. Did you buy any rocks?
Who would have thought?? i felt the same when they started selling bottled water! They are very sweet looking girls! I can only imagine how successful the will be. Thanks for sharing. Sue
Please don't link your blog in the comments or it will be deleted. Your comment, not your blog, but wouldn't that be unsettling? Blog Hop Links are in the sidebar.
Life is like a box of rocks, oh wait, that's chocolates, never mind! Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

ReplyDeleteThey should give it a try. I bet they'd like the find a rock, paint a rock, hide a rock thing we've got going on in Dane County too.

I was pretty impressed.
DeleteI love a little entrepreneurism in kids
ReplyDeleteIt's a win win win as long as someone is making sure they're safe.

DeleteI love this -- so nice to see kids being kids (with not an electronic device in sight!) And why not rocks -- at least they won't rot your teeth )))

Deletehappy looking girls.
ReplyDeleteselling rocks!?!?! very ingenious indeed! Who must have thought of it? One might even end up buying rocks which once belonged to their yard :-P
