Rainy Days and Pit Bulls

In for an oil change, out for a deluge and watching it all with my favorite garage dog, Gabby.

On this visit, I found out Gabby is a rescue from Alabama and has a bluish tattoo on her belly letting people know she's spayed. It's believed she was used for bait and that's why she's a bit tentative sometimes. But mostly she's a social little girl and has never failed to greet me when I drop by. This time she sat down in front of me while I told her all about that cat smell on my shoes.

    1. She wasn't as friendly with everyone else as she usually was but seemed to be extra connected to me. Maybe because I was talking to her despite people thinking I was a bit feeble minded.

    1. She is fine looking animal and was looking pretty comfortable on her dog bed only opening an eye now and again for most of the customers.

  7. I totally love going in places where there is a mascot there. Gabby looks like a sweetie. My vets office has a mascot cake, brought in as a feral but not so much now. They had two others that lived there for the longest, but they have since gone over the rainbow bridge. There used to be a local place here where the man had a dog named Radar, when you paid, if paying with just bills, you gave the money to Radar and he took it to his keeper for change. So adorable and so is Gabby.

    1. Haaa I would go to a vet's office whether or not I had a pet if they had a cake as a mascot, Pam! Radar took the cash did he, I bet he spent it on frisbees and chew toys. She's a good looking little girl that's for sure. I trust a place more if they have a pet, especially a rescue. One of my favorite bars up north said every bar needs two things, a bat and a dog.

    1. She is probably aware how much better her life is now and feels all the love. I hope her old life was nothing more than a dream and this is her reality. Happy Mother's Day to you too, Eileen.

    1. She is a sweetie and I think, at least I hope a bit mischievous. I don't know the details but understand you can train your animal to be more aggressive with a bait dog which are also used with bears and bulls.
