Blowing Into Wednesday

I'm not saying that everything has been giving me a headache lately but it does seem as if my neighbor's psycho little beast has been barking nonstop while trying to claw its way through the door for the past three years.
So here's some wind that blows more sweetly, welcome to the middle of the week.

Definitely the former

  1. A lovely sky! So sorry to hear about the non-stop barking - so irritating!

    1. It's been a few weeks since the management had "a meeting" with him and I wonder if he sent his dogs to one of those camps like they have for errant teenagers because nary a peep or should I say woof.

  2. Well, that surely looks like tons of fun. Thanks for sharing. Sorry, about the beast next door, but I'm sure my little barker is being complained about lately too. Don't know what's gotten into him lately plus he hates the mailman. Sheesh!

    1. This isn't a mailman thing and I really do understand barking dogs. It doesn't sound as if your pooch is nearly as cray cray as these little b#stards.

    1. Especially at the three year why should I bother to do anything because I keep getting away with it mark.

  5. Hello, I love the sounds of the horns. I think the band Chicago had a nice horn sound in their music. Have a happy day!

    1. I went to a fantastic Chicago concert in the seventies. I had kind of liked them in high school but never really appreciated them until I saw and heard them live.

  6. Oh the non-stop barking dogs. Had neighbors behind us that had three and they barked. all. day. long. Most annoying.

    Have a fabulous day. ♥

    1. Oh man, three, I have seen some anti barking devices that are supposed to work in a yard and if I didn't live in an apt I would have tried them.

  7. there should be a noise ordinance regarding barking dogs.....they are obviously upset...probably about being left alone all day. Hope things get quieter for ya!

    1. I'm not sure about the noise ordinance but the most frustrating thing is they're worse when there's someone there. Then you hear them get yelled at and of course not listening to the human which reinforces the whole thing. Simply said, the guy is an idiot.

  8. I feel your pain. Nonstop barking means something is wrong with the dog -- so when we get annoyed we are just being kind and wanting someone to take care of the poor animal. Right? Right. (Among the things I notice because I'm retired and home and my neighbors aren't.. here in Oregon. Guess I need to find a retirement community)>

    1. Two dogs but I think the other one lost interest after about a year or two. I offered to take care of them and suggested more than once they meet the neighbors, especially the one who always has treats (me).
I'm sure they would love company but the little beasts have an idiot for an owner who chose to let them terrorize the entire building instead.
I started out wanting to take care of them and ended up really wanting someone to take care of them. Envisioning a Seinfeld type scenario here.

  9. Oooh, another cool band you've introduced me to, Jeanna. Thanks. I can just listen to the instruments.

Sorry to hear you have a yapper of a neighbor. You're more patient than us with the owners. Fortunately, it's been several years since we've had neighbors who won't do anything about their dogs, even when they know they're barking continuously, day or night. Hope things get quiet for you soon.

    1. That's one of the Jimmies again, they're very popular around here.
I can not figure out what happened to them since I haven't heard a squeak ever since the resident manager "met" with them. I'm sure I'll hear them all soon enough.

  10. As a dog owner myself, I find that unacceptable!
Sorry you are going through that.

    1. He hasn't tried any of the many methods available to him and I think he's old enough to know better. I've never found telling your dog to shut up then letting them bark even louder to be a practical training method.

  11. We have a neighbour who's dogs seemingly bark non-stop at times. He particularly likes to wind up neighbours in the middle of the night if they happen to have innocently annoyed him during the day (it doesn't take much!).

    1. Well they've wound me up for the last three years after I've gone out of my way to get them used to my coming and going but owwwoooo, the owner should be the one in a shock collar.

  12. Our next door neighbors had six very loud dogs. It wasn't easy and caused some turmoil between us. Somehow we out lasted all six of them. When the last one died, it took us a while to even notice that there was no more barking.

    1. Wow, that is some stamina, Pat. I noticed the barking stopped the day the onsite manager had a meeting with him. I don't know what happened but I did suggest if the dogs weren't able to adjust after three year they never would. I guess we'll see if and when they show their tails around here again.

  13. Hi Jeanna,... Had to turn the video off it's just too early for that. Our small dog and big one are the barkers, but when they start I do bring them in or shake the tin at them and they do stop and they know they've been naughty... A mid-week party?!!! I couldn't. It' a school night!

Thank you for joining in with #keepingitreal

    1. Yikes don't even say that, too much school makes Jack go crazy. This was actually an attempt at a family picnic. Shaking a can is all I ever asked.
