Chicken Fingers

I don't know why I said "chicken fingers"—OMG 3-0 Milwaukee— but I did just stop by Game Time Sports Bar & Grill on the way home and got a great bar burger. Although it was in a bar full of very loud Brewers fans and I felt everyone knew I wasn't one of them. I should be but fantasy baseball made me a Dodger's fan and there's really nothing I can do about it.
Enough chit-chat, here's a photo of a straw chicken next to a church next to a graveyard from Thursday.
C'mon Blue, wake up! (Top of the 7th two on.)

Crazy gloomy weather most of the week, froze my ta ta's off taking this shot. Back to baseball, bases loaded, 2-2, Puig strikes out and breaks the bat over his leg

    1. I don't think "enjoy" is the right word, Sandee, lol. I'd scream at the TV louder but my mouth is full of burger. They only scored one on a walk with the bases loaded and Puig threw a tantrum and broke his bat.

  3. Look at all those lovely colours in the trees, I'm glad you told me it was a straw chicken, I thought he was a tad sickly looking!

    1. You know I just can't tell from device to device if it's too lightened up or not. It was a moody and gloomy week so almost no sunlight at all and had to brighten it a bit. Ha, he was petty lively for an inanimate object, Fiona.

  5. What a lovely autumnal landscape. Did the chicken wake everybody up (not in the churchyard. obviously)?

    1. Thanks John, the chicken did talk to the rooster about it but it was too gloomy for anyone to really care.

    1. That is insane! I was wearing shorts when I took this photo, but knowing it was going to drop in temp had packed a hoodie and scarf. The wind was craaaaazzy on that hill and when I went back a bird was missing (there were two straw birds, a straw chicken and a cow). You guys get snow which seems to melt right away. I will take CO weather over WI weather my friend. It was my hands that froze the most, could barely open the car door and there were a pair of gloves somewhere in that mess.

  7. Those footy things of chickens kinda look like fingers, if I close one eye. Autumn looks gorgeous over there. I haven't noticed any oranges and reds yet in our area, but I noticed some of the streets downtown have been newly paved. Now we roll over bumps rather than go bumpity bump.

    1. I wonder what they taste like fried. The colors are fading but not quickly and there's even sunshine today. Do you get orange and reds? Let's hear it for paved streets!

    2. Orange and reds, yes. Yellow, too. I've eaten boiled chicken feet cooked in soy sauce and garlic. They were tasty. Gelatinous. Fried chicken feet would probably taste good. You can't go wrong with frying. Once I ate fried pig's feet in Honolulu.Yummy and, best of all, they didn't look like pig's feet.

    3. Were there lots of crunchy little bones? I think those are two staples in drummies or wings. Gelatinous, nope, you lost me. I suppose just about anything pork especially fried could be good. So that's what they do with all those luau leftovers.

    4. I don't remember bones, just how tasty it was and why hadn't I eaten fried pigs feet before.

    5. Boney boiled chicken feet I mean. Somehow pigs feet make more sense. I'd try them for sure, now you've got me wanting some. Guess I'll have to settle for a delicious overpriced caramel apple.

    1. Could be here, J. Yeah, that's what I'd think although I love a turkey neck. I feel a bit spoiled, but also think it looks better somewhere else. I'm seeing photos from up north last week and before that would blow your socks off. I am only leaving out a few to wear around the house but sadly, am going through winter clothes.

  17. Too cold too soon. yikes! Did he really break the bat on his leg? Guess I should start watching -- sounds less boring than when we used to.

    1. Puig? That seems so long ago, still punchy from staying up late watching last night. If your team is in it then it's pretty exciting, even though I'm at odds with the rest of the state. It's a real battle and a few amusing things like a RF sliding across the grass like a bird landing and a dirty player clearing the benches last night. The two made up later and I think they did so in Spanish. The final was 2-1 which sounds boring but every play and call counts so much more in the post.
