Birds, Birds, Birds

One of my neighbors was yelling, "birds, birds, birds" in my dorm room on a typical day at UW-LaX in the seventies. I'd show you the Polaroid if my scanner worked or if I had more energy. Yup, I took it with a Polaroid camera.

I know this is a chickadee because Google Image told me so

These weren't taken with a Polaroid, but wouldn't it be cool if I still had my old one and it still worked?

Don't worry, honey, if these morons keep it up we'll have it all to ourselves

I got out my semi-ancient Canon and leave it in the car now, the way I'd do in severe weather or a pending apocalypse.

Curbside Pick Up

I think of my college friend—who was playing with a Fli-Back paddle ball at the time—when I snap a bird pic and need a title.

    1. I bet you do, so you can't get out for exercise or is the marina off limits?

    1. It was an adorable little Chickadee and hanging out in my quiet place which is extra quiet now that it's closed down.

    1. Yes, I feel okay about always having this camera with me because it takes an okay photo and is very old and not worth much. Hugs to you too!

    1. I can't make myself get rid of my analog cameras. This is an old digital and worth a fraction of what I paid for it, but can still take a picture.

    1. I find you have a better chance at getting lucky if you always have your camera, J. I still don't have those new glasses and don't expect to for months. Even if I could, it's not worth it to chance getting my mother sick.
Yeah, I remember getting a Polaroid in the 70s, it was great, but I think the film was expensive. I don't remember very sharp pictures, but I loved having one.
The weather was too nice for me, lol. I prefer it in the mid-40s like it was today. Hope you're staying safe and creative.

  12. Curbside Pick Up, love that title and photo, Jeanna. The parents bought a Polaroid in the late 60s, which the brother hogged and lost. It was a nifty, but cumbersome, thing. I bet you got amazing photos with those Kodak Instamatics. Take care, Missy.
P.S. The walnuts were cracked for snacking, adding to smoothies, and topping cereal.

    1. That bird was putting on a show before he dined on worm tartare. Maybe it was dinner theater. He was jumping up and down like another bird I saw on TV who seemed to do it for an audience.
Ach, siblings, glad my sister never showed any interest in photography. I don't know if I had a Kodak Instamatic, but probably. I remember those cube flashes, remember those things?
Mmmm, walnuts. Reminds me of that Danny Thomas alien walnut episode of Dick Van Dyke. A great idea to add to smoothies.
