I don't have to go far to shoot some scenery which is good because I'm broke, cheap and into this whole look right under your nose thing right now.
Down by the marina. Got lucky with the sunset reflected in the boat window

It's been a tough week so I'll leave you with a few more phone pics. This rope smells like you and you belong to me therefore ...
That mail box!!
ReplyDeleteIn the summer they replace it with hockey sticks.
Deletegreat photos. Each is special in its own way.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joyce, I just went a few blocks.
DeleteThe sunset pics are amazing!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ruth, I got lucky with the reflection and heart shape.
ReplyDeleteThis mailbox is amazing. And I love your sunset pictures. I love beautiful sunsets. Would you like to share it with TRAVEL INSPIRATION link up on my blog?

It's not a bad work of art for a mailbox, Anna. Sure, although I'm not traveling too far these days. But then again, I don't have to.
DeleteWd don't need to travel far to see interesting things. Sometimes is enough to see the beauty around us. Thank you for share this post with Travel Inspiration. o)

Your incredible photos make these look like they were taken by squirrel with a throw away camera, FP.
DeleteNice shots. The mailbox post is certainly far more unique than any I've seen!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2016/09/los-viejos.html
It's kind of pretty in a Christmas Story kind of way.
DeleteGreat shots and so close to home. We can find interesting things just out our front doors. My cloud shots this week were from my front door and back door.
ReplyDeleteYeah they were terrific, TK. I went a bit further today, but not more than 30 minutes away, lol.
DeleteThat mailbox is a hoot! The grass is always greener on the other side of the road but really all we have to do is look in our own backyard for the images. Very nice reminder.
ReplyDeleteIt's also a reminder this walk from my place was no big deal when I moved in, now, however...I get tired just thinking about it.
DeleteThat mail box holder is just too funny. I loved it but I would never have one. Guess I am not as daring as some folks but I don't mind looking at other people's daring stuff.
ReplyDeleteI always chuckle when I pass by, Latane. Oh you know it was a guy's idea especially since they replace it with a hockey sticks mailbox in the winter.
DeleteThe last one is my favorite! The table by my entrance is exactly like that mailbox!!! My husband made it!
ReplyDeleteOooh, you should take a picture and post it, Barbara. Bet it's pretty.
DeleteSo much to see just in the neighbourhood! Love the sunset!
ReplyDeleteThere really is, especially with all the parks, a marina, a big lake and protected wildlife areas so close.
DeleteThat's the funniest mailbox ever! And it does remind of that iconic movie lamp . Beautiful scenery -- you certainly don't have to travel to catch great views. I try to remember that too -- some of the stuff I take for granted is new to others.
ReplyDeleteYes, that's a good way to look at it, Sallie. If I can pry myself off this couch I'm going to check out two cool things less than a few miles away in either direction. Or maybe I'll watch the news.
DeleteThat mailbox is one of a kind....Actually, I want one.
ReplyDeleteWorth a Thousand Words
Ha, PC, I like the art but don't need a reminder of that body I'll never have. I saw a pelican mailbox that made me laugh yesterday because the pelican looked so very angry.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots
ReplyDeleteTa Jim.
DeleteBeautiful sky here
ReplyDeleteYour Telok Beach photo just about made me cry, Thomas.
DeleteYou are right, there are lots of images right under our noses if we just care to look, as your post proves.
ReplyDeleteAnd it helps if ur frugal.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure everyone is commenting about that mail box but.... that mail box!!! Wow! Love the sunset too.
ReplyDeleteHa, I think I need some better photos of it before they change it over for the winter (they put out one with hockey sticks).
Deletelove the sky. the mailbox made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteThanks, TexWisGirl, your sky shots are spectacular.
DeleteBeautiful sunset!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I had to move quickly to avoid blood thirsty mosquitoes!
DeleteBeautiful shots
ReplyDeleteSydney – City and Suburbs

ReplyDeleteLOL, you first line is funny. Me too, broke and cheap.
ReplyDeleteThat lamp-post mailbox, so fun.
