May Oktoberfest season in Wisconsin roll out the barrel until the last drop is drunk.
The Blessing of the Beer. Cue organ music |
I think the fraulein on the left was a little too blessed |
Das Frau Carry. They lost the race but won Best Picture |
Trash Talkin' Weenies |
The sweetest rescue dogs BM—yup that's his name—and Max. The hairy roid dog beat them too. |
Oktoberfest?! It's a bit early since September is only half over. How long do the good people of Wisconsin celebrate?
ReplyDeleteIt starts in late August this year, lol. So many of da gut people in WI are of German descent so I guess long as they can.
DeleteI googled it and see it started September 17th. I didn't realize that it precedes October by some weeks. Have fun.
ReplyDeleteOne practically down da road ya hey started last Friday and since I'm trying to take advantage of close-bys, it's when my season started.
DeleteBeautiful weenies! I know this fest from Germany, and also a little from Norway.
ReplyDeleteNo comparison, but we've got so very many of them, even in south central WI. Funny I spent my time at a German fest and a Norwegian apple orchard last weekend.
DeleteBeautiful dogs...thanks for the video!
ReplyDeleteSeemed fitting, DW.
DeleteLovely dogs! Looks like a fun day!
ReplyDeleteI think Sunday was the wiener.
DeleteThat weiner dog was on steroids or PCP... not sure which!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these photos at http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2016/09/the-man-in-moon.html
Oh yeah, Sue, wish I could have videoed it cuz that little guy was pumped, I mean 3//4 down the track before the other dogs moved an inch.
DeleteHello, looks like a fun time. I love all the cute dogs. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week ahead!
ReplyDeleteI think I enjoyed the Dachshund Dash more than anything except the smell of brats and beer, Eileen.
DeleteSo much happening. That dog race looked a hoot.
ReplyDeleteIt was a real crowd pleaser, Fun, made me laugh out loud.
DeleteWhat a fun event and wonderful photos ~ love the dogs, of course, ~
ReplyDeleteHappy Week to you ~ ^_^
They were a hoot and a half, Carol.
DeleteYep, it's getting to be that time of year! The Wiener Dog Song, one that I've missed all these year, any relation to the chipmunks? Thanks Jeanna for adding a bit of fun to the party. I hope that there is more to come, tough act to follow!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking Chipmunks or helium. Or chipmunks on helium.
Deleteloved this post...so cute and fun
ReplyDeleteYou can't go wrong with beer and little dogs.
DeleteWhat a fun celebration! Have a fantastic week!

Nothing like fall in WI, yah hey.
DeleteLooks like you had fun at the beer-and weenie fest:) How do you know they talk trash?:)
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for sharing the fun with SEASONS and have a great week!
You could easily translate all the barking and eyeballing. They had the crowd in stitches, J.
DeleteIf those words include beer, cheese, brats and viener doggs.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like so much fun! I've never really been to an Oktoberfest so I'm glad you shared!
ReplyDeleteSay it ain't so, Betty. There'll be plenty more to share before November I'm sure, I'm going to pop by one this Saturday. In case ur itching to go: http://www.oktoberfest.co.nz/
DeleteI have no idea where this is in relation to you.
A little early for Octoberfest? Love the dachshunds but I didn't know they came in a long hair variety.
ReplyDeleteI think it's because of where I went to college (Oktoberfest was a huge deal there), but it's never too early for Oktoberfest as far as I'm concerned. And they started here in August, lol. Stay tuned cuz I'm going to a few. Let me look that up, okay, Smooth, Longhair, Wirehair. The wirehair has this cute little scruff on their chins.

ReplyDeleteHave a doggytastic week :-)
How I love you wiener dog riding on ur skate board! Have a great week and if u can't take it ez, take it ruff.
DeleteOur Gatsby is part Weiner dog, so I absolutely ate these photos up! Thanks for sharing them! #Image-in-ing
ReplyDeleteYou would have loved it, Lisa, I'm hoping to see more d dashes in the weeks ahead.
DeleteLooks like a great time - love the first shot!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I expected her to sprout wings.
DeleteOctober Fest is always great fun!
ReplyDeleteYah, yah, I love it, Carol.
DeleteWould love to see the dogs run!
ReplyDeleteThere were only four that ran but it was all pretty amusing.
DeleteLooks like everybody is having a ton of fun ... And how could they not with all that is gong on. Except maybe for that one poor young lady. But I see a few of those overly-blessed people pretty much every time I go out here in downtown Eugene ... And they haven't even had the joy of an Octoberfest first!
ReplyDeleteHa, I thought the picture fit with the Blessing of the Beer and all but I'm pretty sure she was helping with the dog race. Ha, I remember some of those people when I visited Eugene as well. As a matter of fact I might have been one of them.
DeleteThat looks like loads of fun. Love the trash talking picture :)
ReplyDeleteThose little wieners had a lot to say, Alicia. Probably just "Hey, I'm a wiener dog." "Yeah, me too." "Let's bark cuz it's so much fun." "I concur, bark bark bark."
DeleteLooks like fun! Great photos and I love your captions!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jill, keep spit shining those mirrors.
DeleteLove those little dogs. They all have such character
ReplyDeleteMollyxxx
They do, I read up on them and it seems the longhairs are even more badass.
DeleteWhat fun!
ReplyDeleteIt's a good season to be a cheese head.
DeleteFun times and great photos! Gotta love the wiener dog song!!
ReplyDeleteI'm still singing that silly song, SPaP.
DeleteWhat a fun time. And, I love that Octoberfest (in Wisconsin) is traditional and is in September like Germany. I might have to visit Wisconsin in September just for this. Great captures!!
ReplyDeleteLisa @ LTTL
You still have time, Lisa. I'm missing one today cuz of a nasty tooth extraction, but I know there will be PLENTY more.
DeleteTa, Jim.
