Wiener Dogs and Beer

The beer was blessed, the sauerkraut was scarfed and the dachshunds were dashed.
May Oktoberfest season in Wisconsin roll out the barrel until the last drop is drunk.

The Blessing of the Beer. Cue organ music

I think the fraulein on the left was a little too blessed

Das Frau Carry. They lost the race but won Best Picture

Am convinced this longhair was on steroids

Trash Talkin' Weenies

The sweetest rescue dogs BM—yup that's his name—and Max. The hairy roid dog beat them too.

    1. No comparison, but we've got so very many of them, even in south central WI. Funny I spent my time at a German fest and a Norwegian apple orchard last weekend.

  9. Yep, it's getting to be that time of year! The Wiener Dog Song, one that I've missed all these year, any relation to the chipmunks? Thanks Jeanna for adding a bit of fun to the party. I hope that there is more to come, tough act to follow!

    1. I think it's because of where I went to college (Oktoberfest was a huge deal there), but it's never too early for Oktoberfest as far as I'm concerned. And they started here in August, lol. Stay tuned cuz I'm going to a few. Let me look that up, okay, Smooth, Longhair, Wirehair. The wirehair has this cute little scruff on their chins.

  19. Looks like everybody is having a ton of fun ... And how could they not with all that is gong on. Except maybe for that one poor young lady. But I see a few of those overly-blessed people pretty much every time I go out here in downtown Eugene ... And they haven't even had the joy of an Octoberfest first!

    1. Ha, I thought the picture fit with the Blessing of the Beer and all but I'm pretty sure she was helping with the dog race. Ha, I remember some of those people when I visited Eugene as well. As a matter of fact I might have been one of them.
