It's 10˚.
When life gives you icicles make lemonade slushies?
How about beating up a double batch of Peanut Butter and Jelly thumbprint cookies instead.
It's so cold the raspberry jam warmed up to freezing when heated on the stove |
I did make some quickly eaten chocolate chip cookies for Christmas (and then gingerbread cookies to start my apres-holiday cookie marathon).
More on the crowd-pleasing thumbprint classic coming to the Wisconsin Candy Dish.
I love raspberry.
ReplyDeleteThey were pretty popular, Jim. I prefer blackberry with this recipe.
DeleteI love those cookies. I'm imagining myself piggily eating 3. Maybe one more, please.
ReplyDeleteAs many as you like. I even have some dough left over for you Susie.
DeleteThat's some kind of cold!! What scrumptious looking treats!
ReplyDeleteCrazy few days of rain and awful road conditions but back to 17˚ now. Enough to make me stay in and make more cookies though.
DeleteLooks so yummy -
ReplyDeleteThey were a hit, but not my favs. I highly recommend Smuckers blackberry warmed on the stove and well stirred over the raspberry I used. Although I saved the last few for myself. Might have one now.
DeleteNow here is a tune that I've never heard. Neat and tasty! Thanks for sharing, what's next?
ReplyDeleteI suspect lemon shortbread thumbprints with blackberry and cherry jelly will be in the oven soon.
DeleteOh, boy, do these ever look delicious....
ReplyDeleteI think people liked them, but I'd rather have a go at those raspberry bars you made.
DeleteThanks for the recipe. They look GOOD.
ReplyDeleteI hate looking at the photos because now I want them a heck of a lot more than when racks of them were cooling on my counter.
DeleteWhat a coincidence!!! My wife made some Thumbprint Jam Cookies last weekend.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed them, Tony. I found they are the reverse of most cookies in that they taste better than they smell.
DeleteNothing better than a PB cookie!
ReplyDeleteMy mother didn't think these had enough peanut butter but was thankful for the jelly, haha.
DeleteI would like the cookies lol @ the song :-)
ReplyDeleteThen you put the coookie in your mouth.
DeleteMy goodness they looks delicious
ReplyDeleteMollyxxx
Wish I could share them like you share your most excellent photos, Molly.
DeleteThey look yummy! Especially with the raspberry oozing out. Thank you so much for sharing this deliciousness with ALL SEASONS! Good I checked, I thought I had already replied here. I blame it on the two power outages since the opening of the link list this week, interrupting and throwing off my daily schedule, lol.
ReplyDeleteSo glad we haven't gotten in downed power lines due to ice around here cuz how would I make the cookies?
DeleteThis is why I have a go outside when it's 20 and sunny policy, Felicia.
