I'm can barely wait for the luscious fall weather, but it won't come next week since we're expecting weather in the 80s. It would be criminal to complain so I'll content myself with a few premature fall photos from this week.
At the world's longest red light on Hwy 12 |
A fading corn field near Sauk Praire. That spec is a plane |
The Dog Beach at Devil's Lake will undoubtedly see a last hurrah next week |
Love the clouds in 2 of your shots
ReplyDeleteThere have been lots of them, Carol.
DeleteLove all the cloudscape.
ReplyDeleteFrankly My Dear
The fading corn field is my favourite!
ReplyDeleteDramatic black and white sky!
ReplyDeleteWe've had to appreciate clouds around here lately, DS.
DeleteBeautiful series.
ReplyDeleteJust a short trip the other day, Robert.
DeleteGorgeous shots! I love autumn too.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to your fall photos as the season turns, LF.
DeleteHi Jeanna, there has been a definite shift in weather this week, although the days are still hot and muggy, there is a coolness once the sun goes down. I love your top image, very mean and moody and a little bit spooky too!

It's almost midnight and downright chilly right now with the porch door open, so much so I'm tempted to cover up the cat with a blanket. All this after a beautiful day and another one for three different end of summer dog events tomorrow. Hot and muggy, two of my least favorite adjectives, blech. I guess I had nothing else to look at in that top image, I was stuck there for so long it seemed interesting.
DeleteBeautiful images. I'd be content with those images which I could look at for hours. Great landscapes. hope you got away from that red light.
ReplyDeleteHa ha, it didn't seem as if I ever would, John. Oh no you wouldn't you talented guy you.
DeleteGood collection of photos, I love the middle one
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up
I pulled over when I saw it, something about the sky and dead golden corn struck me.
DeleteWeather in the 80s, don't you dare complain, I feel we have lost summer too early this year and autumn is very much on the way here. Lovely photos of your late summer.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I'm hearing from across your way, Fiona. You wouldn't believe how nice it is right now. There are three dog events and a few free bands and who knows what else going on today. Waiting on my cousin to begin our adventure while watching Hurricane Irma bear down on Florida.
DeleteLooks beautiful where you are. Love that first shot with the gorgeous clouds! :)

It sure is lately, Bavarian.
Deleteit's still summer here in the Pacific NW too!! And in Florida, but it always is, unless it's blowing away.
ReplyDeleteI hope it's the best winter you've ever had after all that. You should take a picture of those hurricane shutters you put up before you left.
Deletehurricane shutters on my latest post. Thanks for co-writing my blog ;>))
