Too Darn Hot

It's too hot for color.

A lovely spring day on the Mississippi River

Still "spring" but the word has lost all meaning (when digital images melt)

    1. I had only one other song by here and happily she sang this one and it was on YouTube. You've left France?

  4. Looks like you have the perfect place to cool down right there!

Can you swim in the Mississippi? #MySundayPhoto

    1. I never really liked swimming in the Mississippi but wouldn't turn down a boat ride, James. I prefer the WI River to the Mississippi, a clean lake to a river and a clean uncrowded pool to either. So yes you can but I haven't for years

    1. I looked down at the car gauge today and thought, "Oh, 92˚, well that's not too bad." Of course I was on my way back home driving around in air conditioning.

  6. I do love a hot day every now and then, but they're a rarity here in the UK (& relatively mild compared to the heat of others), so easy enough to enjoy. Love the effect on the last photo #MySundayPhoto

    1. I may have tolerated them long ago but since my idea of perfect weather is in the 60s and sunny, we're a long way from that. And it's still May! My Italian blood may slowly adapt some, the Irish and Norwegian blood in me is having a heat stroke.

Have a good Sunday and thank you for linking up to #MySundayPhoto

  8. Hi Jeanna, I love the melting on the Mississippi image, I have a feeling that's how I'm going to feel later. It was hot when I took the dogs out this morning and the sun was bearly up, this afternoon I'm helping out at a wedding in the full sun!

    1. You better not hop in that groovy camper and head to the North Pole then, Ella. You love the warmth do you, what would that be, like 60˚?

    2. In the summer is also hot there ... Now in Norway are 86°F.

    3. That's crazy, Ella, and people still think there's no such thing as climate change. But then again, I'd welcome 86˚ right now. Thanks for the Fahrenheit conversion.

  13. Loving the black and white, it makes the snap look far older. Must say I'm not a fan of the heat, its just kicking in here!

  14. From brrrrr to a heat warning! Our weather has been crazy, too. Except for today, it has been feeling more like autumn. I like autumn. I've only heard Marilyn Monroe sing this song. Hmm, maybe it "We're having a heat wave".

    1. Oh yeah, heat advisories have been scrolling across the TV for the last few days. It's crazy, man. Autumn, I knew I liked California. I don't remember her singing it but think of Ella Fitzgerald and know it's originally from Kiss Me Kate which I only vaguely remember. Now I want to see Kiss Me Kate again. A tropical heat waaavvveee. Love that song. But how is it so cool down by you. It was close to 100 north of here yesterday, what is going on!

    2. Shall we say it's because of the volcano eruption on the Big Island. lol

    3. Haa, guess what, they said on the news tonight that Alberto was going to affect the weather here. I know nothing of volcanoes but it's got to be doing something...volcanoey.

    1. I hope you're holding up all right, Sallie. I think these glasses I never got used to are making me hallucinate. Just checked, it's 14 degrees cooler in Miami than it is here.

  16. Love that wonky reflection - quite good in black and white!
Yeah, suddenly the heat seems to be picking up (even in Europe, just talked to my son in Holland - 85 degr. and high humidity - when we were there a few years ago around this time, I had 3 layers of clothes on, and had to buy winter boots there). Many thanks for sharing this hot spring with All Seasons, and hope it will cool down again soon!

    1. That's supposed to be the picture above it melting because it's so hot, J. Crazy times, Ella is saying it's 86˚ in Norway. You had to get boots, now that's serious, I don't even wear boots in the winter any more.

  17. Can you please direct some of the warmth down my way?! I sure could use it :)
