If it's 90˚ and it feels like 94˚ why not just say the temperature is too hot if you're Irish and Norwegian˚?

Say Cheese! Not So Silent Bob
The Rat Boys and I have been spending quality time together as they get used to their new digs and Bob here has a lot to say about it.
I'm pretty sure he thinks my car is a direct conduit to the park

Talking Blarney
One of my favorite stories was how our great or possibly great-great aunts and uncles used to listen to ball games and such while making their way through buckets of beer (a tradition I happily followed at UW-Lax).
The thing I found most fascinating is that my dad as a kid would fetch beer in a buttered bucket for the elders. I think to prevent spillage, unless it was to cut down on foam, anyway, has anyone ever heard of this or is it just the Madison Dempseys?

Will It Go Round In Circles?
I must have circled the city three times doing errands and whatnot yesterday and continued the pace today with the Rat Boys.

Say Cheese! Wrigley
It's still there.
Moscow Mule
1.5 oz vodka
4 oz ginger beer
Fresh lime
Pour over plenty of ice in a clean copper mug
And it's still windy |
And Cubs fans are still talking about the 2016 World Series (of course they are) |
And it's still fun to root for the Brewers there |
Yet the attitude seems new, and unnervingly friendly |

These girls wanted us to share their Moscow Mule (Nanci did but it's the last thing I needed) |

4 oz ginger beer

Even though I was alcohol-free I was getting Harry Carey vibes from this dog |

Warm Weather Walkies
I've started my warm weather walking routine at the Old Farts park in Middleton again and the Rat Boys couldn't be happier. Lots to see, smell and try to eat (you're watching both ends with these two).

Say Cheese! Boat Dogs
Cheese Boats, they're a thing. Click here for a recipe I'll never make by Trisha Yearwood on the Food Network website.
I wondered what the best boat dog was as I watched these two lolling about their pontoon and found this article from BoatU.S. for three good candidates: The Novia Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, the Schipperke, and the Portuguese Water Dog, a breed I've always wanted to hang out with.
We had these lake faring dogs to entertain us while waiting an insane amount of time for a BLT and a fish sandwich |
