Lost Weekend

I love this time of year and one of the many reasons is getting lost on the Farm/Art DTour. I spit on sizzling apple brats and delicious cheeses while the siren song of giant earth worms and tractor walls beckon. Sauk County will fill their fields with farm art, poetry, performers and pieces like this from October 1-9 and I will be there with a pile of maps and a broken compass.

Week's Favorite because it reminds me of a sandworm
You know you're using too much fertilizer when...

I Made This trip through a winding, bumpy country side without getting completely lost in the sense that I had to be rescued and towed home.
And...if  any of you get that $#@*ed CAPTCHA image verification please let me know. The Google overlords seem to make it mandatory for some readers even though it's turned off.

  3. Hey Denyse, I couldn't find a link on your profile but thanks for stopping by. It is incredible. I mean it's right up there with Irishfest and finding money. It's how I'd like to see the world, with a performance or artwork in every field and funny poems and baked goods on every roadway. It's also full of Amish buggies and amazing landscapes.

    1. That is your wheelhouse, my friend. I hate getting lost and always do. If you knew how I poured over maps and color coded roadways yesterday before this year's Tour DArt, Oy! Sadly I was lost before I hit 10 miles and REALLY lost at about 20 miles into the tour yesterday.

    1. Oh yeah, they've got all sorts of craft and hobby classes and things going on in town I've yet to take advantage of. But I love the Farm Art Tour. Stay tuned, some cool stuff from yesterday to come. And I got lost (of course) and missed a chunk.

    1. Thanks, Ralph, these are from Art Tours past which got me pretty psyched to go yesterday. Your fest looked like a spirited event, loved the walking pumpkin guy.

  8. Oh my gosh I love this stuff! The ultimate outdoor art for sure! Getting lost is half the fun (excep if you're towing a fifth wheel behind your freight liner truck. Then it stinks).

    1. It is so very cool, despite my horrid sense of direction. Fortunately it's close enough for me to visit a few times before they take everything down so I can take it all in. So, you have experience towing a fifth wheel behind a freight liner truck, Sallie?

  11. Good advise not to text and drive - haha, I can see that wood pile so carefully stocked crumble because of careless move! And it looks very much like a big worm in the last one! Hope you lost all your pain? Have a great week ahead, and many hanks for sharing these humorous Farmers Art/dTour!

  15. I like the colorful silos. Don't text and drive made me laugh. Regarding the capthca sign, it always shows up but if you don't have it enabled readers can skip filling it in and their comment should still go through.

    1. I disabled the CAPTCHAs for both my blogs but it doesn't make any difference on my cousin's computer. She has an older PC and isn't signed into Google. She also uses WP instead of Blogger but I figure it's a Google thing that overrides your choices.
