The Prairie du Sac dam attracts Eagle watchers, fishermen, kayakers and photographers. I won't bore you with stories of a younger me popping out of a kayak in class three rapids at the dam oops too late. We stopped by last week because my cousin isn't happy unless she's spotting an eagle or heron or pelican or egret or some such thing. I didn't get very good shots of whatever large white bird I was attempting to capture, but of course, she did.
I was however fascinated by this guy zipping right up to the gates.
Dam.
My fisherman cuz, Phil3, says, "Been there done that." He is insane. |
I did capture this dam bird |
And now for something completely different...
Jeanna, you are amazing finding this dam stuff. What is next? I just can't wait.
ReplyDeleteHa, one of the go-to places if you like water or eagles.
DeleteThat is amazing to watch that dam and the water!
ReplyDeleteIt's one of those things that's close but so cool. I may make an effort to get shots of it when the eagles start coming in this winter.
DeleteGreat shots, it's hard capturing birds photos but I love the water photos.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great view! I will take a look form afar. I am not that brave to be in the water when the gates open.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo of the boat getting close to the gate.
ReplyDeleteMine is a fisher man too :)
ReplyDeleteAmazing captures of water from dam.
Happy ODW!
