Open up,
I wanna come in again,

Oh, it's already open |
Happy Memorial Day, here's a pic of my gramps from WWI. I posted a picture of my dad as young sailor to start the Memorial Day weekend.

ReplyDeleteSending it back to you, Regine.
DeleteSometimes we just think that door is closed to us!
ReplyDeleteHe got in a few times, a true Wisconsin Beer Dog.
Delete...oh Jeanna, the sensational The Sensations" what a flash from the past. Thanks for stopping by, let's do it again!
ReplyDeleteI love this song and it swims through my head from time to time.
DeleteAww! let him in heheh!
ReplyDeleteI love the oldies enjoyed the song
Nice photo of your gramps...Happy Memorial Day from London :-)
Thanks, Tom, I finally settled down on the actual day. He got in a few times.
DeleteFun shot!
ReplyDeleteThere were some amusing pups there that day.
DeleteA fun shot! Looks to me like he was interested in something on the menu and decided to step inside!!
ReplyDeleteHe probably was, people around him were chowing down. I had the Smoked Pork and it was delicious.
DeleteFunny! He want to eat a hot dog...
ReplyDeleteMy grandpa was in first WW too, but I haven't a photo. In the shelter he carved some figures of limestone, last year my mother gave them to a museum (sad, they were our most beloved memory things!)
I pretty sure he got a bratwurst or two, Mascha. I'm sorry you don't have those figures, maybe you can take photos of them at the museum. My grandpa was 16 or 17 in this photo.
DeleteHi Jeanna, that dog is having a hard time of it,no brat or beer and now he's left at the door! It's enough to make you want to howl! It's lovely that you have a photo of your Gramps during the war.
ReplyDeleteXX
The pooch would not stand for being left a few feet away from his owner, especially with a menu like that and the smell of good German style beer in the air.
DeleteThat pup was quite the character.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if he got to go in for a rest?!! Nice shot.
ReplyDeleteHe got in for sure, I saw him chilling outside by a picnic table later.
