Oil Change

One of my favorite quick stops along the back way to Devil's Lake is the bottom of a private driveway loaded with gas station memorabilia. I guess the people who own them like the way they look and so do I.

  1. I've never quite understood the gas station memorabilia thing. I see it all the time on American TV shows. Perhaps our Australian service stations weren't as interesting as yours! #MySundayPhoto

    1. As someone who's currently tearing apart their apartment and getting rid of boxes and boxes of stuff I can't see collecting anything, unless it's money. What American TV shows are you watching?

  2. That's just gas station memorabilia? Wow, someone sure likes their petrochemicals! That said, I can see why it's one of your favourite stops. #mysundayphoto

    1. Oh yeah, there's more to it but I liked this shot. There's even a stop light in the mix.

  7. I Think it all looks fabulous, and somehow familiar even if I'm not in your country, I guess from the films I've watched it's how I imagine your gas stations to look :)

    1. One of my favorite backgrounds in Back to the Future was the Texaco guy filling up the tank.

  11. Gas station memorabilia is so fascinating, we don't have much of it here in the UK. #MySundayPhoto.

    1. I don't see much of it around here but it's just down the way from a popular spot and I'm not giving up on trying to get a good shot of it.

    1. I think my dad would have liked this too and I could have gotten him to pose in front of the gas tanks pretending to fill the tank, lol. That's a nice remembrance of your father.
