Say Cheese! Evergleam Trees Part 2

I usually don't get into the Christmas spirit until the day after Thanksgiving. Then I lose it somewhere between the store and parking lot. Whichever way you want to interpret that is right.

But I watch It's A Wonderful Life and get all tearful and think, "If George Baily were alive today he'd end up on an episode of COPS."

Meanwhile, somewhere in the early sixties Nanci is putting presents under the tree Julian from Trailer Park Boys style.

And I want a General Electric steam iron and a Frigidaire Flair oven and the turquoise Lady Kenmore I've had my eye on in the Sears catalog.

Put down the Brandy Old Fashioned Sweet and back away from the Evergleam because it's time to Say Cheese! Nanci.
"Hey, is that real fur?"

  3. After years of real trees my Dad bought a silver tinsel tree in the 60's. Hated it!

    1. Your dad is a keeper, Brian. I had a photo of a kitty lying in front of a stained glass window I wanted to share with him on FB but I couldn't figure out how to do it.

  9. Is that one of those old fashioned white Christmas Trees of yore? For some reason, I love them. And, if you believe that Seneca Falls was the "Bedford Falls" of It's a Wonderful Life, you would love the annual festival they have (this year, it's the weekend of Dec 13-15). I've stood on that bridge!

  10. Ha! There's the aluminum Christmas tree I'd just written about on another blog. Hated it when I was a kid, but totally might just maybe buy one today, perhaps.
