Demon Ginger God of Mischief

My lil cuz dropped off Dexter for "a few weeks" sometime in April (yes, he's still here). This is not his first "visit" and at this point, all gloves are off. Not for me, however, since he's taken to nipping me in the hand after I give him a good brushing or ear scratching. He acts like he's giving me a tip.
"Here's a little something for  you, doll."
And ever since I started painting my toenails watermelon pink he'll go after my foot. He looks at me like it's the funniest thing in the world, then takes off for his blanket fort to peek out and taunt me.
He also managed to push a full bag of cat food off the breakfast bar and rip into it while I was sleeping. To add insult to injury, that's one of the few places he's not supposed to be.

  1. Lol. What a fabulous description of Dexter. Despite them being little monkeys we are slaves to our feline overlords aren't we? #mmbc

    1. He was going after my foot when I put up this post, little demon. It's beginning to look like I am his servant, despite his estimated "two week" visit.

  2. Cats do have a mind of their own - cat food scattered everywhere must have been a mess.

    1. He was so well mannered when I had him before, it's like something inside him was set free. It wasn't too bad to clean up, I'm just amazed he could push that heavy bag off the counter.

    1. He's keeping me off my toes, Sue. I have to put my feet up in case he's happy about something or wants to play and feels like he needs to nip them.

    1. He never did that before and he's visited for long stays before. I was surprised and amused by his cattitude.

    1. He went batshit after a week or so into this visit. I was pretty busy and I'm not sure if he was extra comfortable or trying to get my attention. Demon Kitty.

    1. I've caught him looking at himself in the mirror lately and he seems to be thinking the same thing, Carol.

  10. Cats are fascinating creatures. They know when to tug at your heartstrings and also when to get you to the end of your ropes.

    1. That's just what I've been thinking, PC. He tucks me in at night and wakes me up to greet the day each morning. I'll be very sad to see him go (as I am each time he heads home with his daddy).

    1. My cuz is darn lucky I don't have allergies to the baskets of fur this little guy sheds. He gets at least one good brushing a day and it really makes him pretty.

    1. I'm still hoping he won't get up on the mantle and start knocking over speakers and such. He keeps finding new places to hang out in this small place so that's something. Doing it right now as I'm typing this, lol.
