Let's Call It Summer
Two 90˚ days in a row, oof. I took these on my way home today because I struck out on Saturday's drive to get popcorn. No photos worth posting, but they sure looked good in my head. My mother got her freshly popped plain corn and I got cherry cheesecake jellybean and two kinds of cheddar cheese.
Sour Cream Cheddar Cheese popcorn, it's what's for dinner.
I put up some photos on Instagram and now that you mention it, I'm thinking about a popcorny afternoon snack. They have a row of samples including ones with fudge and different nuts. I will say a little cherry cheesecake goes a long way. I bet it's hot there, cooled off today but you know it's a sign of things to come. I can't wait to see all your photos of the places that catch your eye.
They've got a few chocolate flavors, multi-colored with coatings like grape and orange as well as freshly popped natural, which my mother prefers. They have two kinds of caramel corn which I always thought was the most popular, I'll have to ask them sometime.
I have two now grown cousins who swear she's all I listened to in my late teens/early 20s. I don't recall that being the case but always loved her. Downloaded Ball & Chain recently from iTunes. I heard it on some popular TV show and thought, "Yes," it doesn't get much better than that."
It's not that hot tonight but after about 2" of rain on previously sun-baked roads, it's certainly steamy! Thanks for sharing at https://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2017/06/my-happy-place.html
Thanks, GM, it was so dang diddly hot I didn't stay long. I thought the people in long pants must have been campers from out of state, so not sure where she was from.
Summer is arrived! Sour Cream Cheddar Cheese popcorn, that sounds so yummy, have never eaten such things (or seen them here with us). Enjoy the time, make the best with the heat and have a cool water nearby
It has been hot a few times but this time it's serious (think action film promo). It is good and I'd forgotten to get it on my birthday trip so got two bags of cheddar cheese on Sunday. Yum. I have been swimming almost every day inside since March (I think) so I'm ready for a little outside swim.
The air in the pool was chilly today (they must have turned on the AC or something). But it was and hopefully will be very pleasant outside for another few days. I kind of like the chilly and wet weather.
The last pic was an accident, but I liked it and have been looking for a lake or river of chocolate since Willy Wonka. Oh you had that too, eek, maybe that cold and rain isn't so bad after all. I think today is the last wonderful day we'll have so I'm gonna take advantage of it.
I'm down in Florida - we've had 90's off and on for a couple of months. Lower today as a large storm moved in 2 days ago and we're in the 3rd day of steady rain. Has to flood soon. Only 85 today. I'll just sit here and dream of cheddar cheese popcorn.
Wow, three days of rain, I hope you don't get caught in a flood situation. You can always order it from RR1 Popcorn online. I'm actually going past there again today. 85 is probably pretty good for FL.
How about salad?? Just teasing - had to chuckle about your comment about the 100 - that was not miles but degrees! When I lived in Holland I had the naive idea that it would only get a 100 and over in the Sahara or stark desert places like that! Too badk - not true:):) Keep cool, lady!
Please don't link your blog in the comments or it will be deleted. Your comment, not your blog, but wouldn't that be unsettling? Blog Hop Links are in the sidebar.
Really? I've never heard of that kind of popcorn and now I feel like I can't live without it (yours, not your mom's -- I have tasted her kind).
ReplyDeleteWe're almost on the road -- tomorrow -- it's hot here too.

DeleteThat popcorn sounds delicious can you pop some over please :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a poptastic week :-)
If only I hadn't eaten and/or hidden it.
DeleteNot heard of those kind of popcorns. Not sure if they're my thing...

Delete...oh Janis, what a loss, she sure could belt out a tune. Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you back again.

DeleteStay cool! Only 54 degrees here ):
ReplyDeleteIt cooled down substantially today so enjoying it while I can. I would have thought MA is warmer, especially in the city. I mean 54, that's cray cray.

Oooh, I bet. They've said rain day after day and still dry. Steamy could make for a great photo op though.
DeleteLove that first photo!
ReplyDeleteThanks, it really caught my eye.
DeleteThe first image is just darling.

DeleteIt felt like summer here too last week and now we seem to have slipped back into chilly and very wet spring

DeleteThat's a good summer shot. I'm not a hot-weather person, that's too hot for me (we haven't hit 80 at my house yet).
ReplyDeleteMe neither, Al.

ReplyDeleteThat's a whole other kind of 100 degrees, much better if it's "a dry heat" as they say.
