Partly Sunny Leftovers

I'm still having fun with my pancake lens and trying to spot the difference between it and my other lenses. It's been glorious outside and here are a few shots enjoying the partly sunny weather.

Oliver, looking extra fluffy after a "haircut." I think they put more hair on him (old EF-S Canon 55-250 STM lens)

One of the first shots I took with the new pancake lens. Toxic green sure is pretty

Lola, aka Big Ol' Baby Girl, loving the cooler weather and warm deck (Canon EF 40 mm f/2.8 STM pancake lens)

    1. I thought Oliver was a bit off (not him he's sooo sweet), but that's the more expensive lens. Thanks, matey bloke.

  4. We have a dog that looks like Olvier....Bella. Although Oliver is heavier....maybe he is a different breed. Bella is a Cockapoo. Is Oliver?

    1. I'm guessing you mean Oliver. His personality is as cute as he looks, a real what you see is what you get puppy dog.

    1. There are a couple of places that have that bayou look, usually around the Mississippi, but this pond is doing it's own thing in Delafield, WI.

  13. That green is not toxic! Is not is not is not. Green is really a funny color though seriously -- to me every shade of it always looks great outside , but not ever good on walls and seldom on clothing. But that's just me ... If Oliver's groomer can really put more hair on I need his or her name and address because I could sure use that service for myself!

    1. I've never seen it anything but swampy looking so I think it's kind of pretty too. Although as a swimmer my first thoughts are how clean is it, how cold is it, can you swim in it. No, not good on the walls, but people keep trying. I'll ask what his groomer can do for you cuz that dog needed a serious haircut and came out like this.

  14. Hi Jeanna, Oliver does look proud of his new haircut, is there any chance that Lola could be feeling a tad left out? She does look slightly sheepish. Love the toxic green, this time of year everything here looks dry and anything but lush and green.. I have to ask, what is a pancake lens?

    1. Oliver is pretty easy to please and I'm sure it helps when people tell him how cute he is (as if he doesn't know). Lola has never met Oliver to my knowledge. Two dogs from two different households although I sit for both of them. Oliver's brother is Sunny Bob, the black and white Teddy. Right now I'm sitting for another cousin's pet, Dexter, whose two week stay has blossomed into two and a half months. A pancake lens is a flat lens that's usually fixed, meaning it doesn't zoom. It doesn't stick out like a bigger lens and is nice and light.
