There's a belief that comedy is funnier in black and white because color is a distraction. I love a black and white comedy but I'm not sure if it's funnier than an episode of Veep.
What I do know is that I find black and white horror flicks the most terrifying. And although I'm sure being stuck in that
Rock Star wasn't funny to the kid pictured screaming, the boy sitting next to him seems pretty amused. Reminds me so much of my oldest nephew, Joey, now all grown up and still taking life as it comes.

The reach of my lens may have stopped, but the screams did not |

Back down to earth with the indefatigable Ballet Folklorico and some amazing feathers |
Beautiful images.
ReplyDeleteTa.
DeleteThat must be a fun ride.
ReplyDeleteFrankly my Dear
I don't think that one qualifies as much of a ride at all, PC.
Deleteyes, definitely the colour would have been a distraction in the first photo. great image.
ReplyDeleteHe looks horrified and his friend is laughing, so...
DeleteThe poor boy! I remember being terrified as a child on a MUCH gentler ride! Gret photo.
ReplyDeleteI remember my sister telling me I could easily fall through a slit in a rock o plane type ride we were on and I screamed the entire time.
DeleteI was never so terrified as the time I looked after two of my nephews on a rollercoaster ride in Hyde Park, London one Christmas. I was terrified they would fall under the bar and I held onto them whilst holding on myself - only just!! #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteOMG, I bet, I was always afraid when we'd go swimming and man I was right by their sides the whole time except in the changing room and even then that made me incredibly nervous so I can imagine. I'd think the roller coaster would be pretty secure but you hear of accidents all the time.
DeleteLovely colours, I love the B&W edit on the first photo
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up
Those dancers were such a bright contrast to the seediness of your typical midway. Which is one of the reasons I love midways.
DeleteLooks lots of fun for kids though I hate those big rides myself
ReplyDeleteI used to love them but don't miss them at all these days.
DeleteHi Jeanna, that one lad does look petrified, but he's far braver than I! The ladies outfits are very impressive looking and I bet their show was just as impressive.

He does and looks so much like my nephew's childhood friend with a kid that looks like my nephew sitting beside him. Joey would be laughing for sure. Yeah I don't do rides anymore but when I did I'd consider that a "wussy" ride not worth my time. Yes, it's a dance troupe I'm going to seek out again, very good, incredible energy.
DeleteOh I can feel those screams, even if I can't hear them! Good for your nephew for taking life as it comes -- I try but .... Meanwhile, I choose the feathers (would love to see one of those performances).
ReplyDeleteHe does now (I think) and certainly did as a kid. He works in the Pentagon now. There were maybe four pretty long routines. One was a group of 10-year-old girls. Very good and tireless in the hot sun.
DeleteI would prefer staying on the ground too and take photos ;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful costumes!
Oh yeah, the only place I plan to be. There were gorgeous and I hope to catch up with this dance troupe down the road.
DeleteLike your title! Have to admit, this black and white brings home the message loud and clear! Wow, a lot of birds were used for these feather arrangements! Your interests go in many directions - I like that for All Seasons - thank you! Have a happy week!
ReplyDeleteHa, I suppose they were plucked for a good cause, lol. Yeah, black and white paints its own vivid picture.
Deleteonly two guys up there. Strange :) Great shot!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I guess they didn't think it was worth waiting to fill it up.
