Squirrelly

A few weeks ago I left the hairdressers on a gorgeous day with an ungorgeous haircut. This critter wanted to chat when I rolled down the car window before I backed out. He only reminded me what a squirrelly month it's been so why not. Maybe I'm the one full of nuts but I swear we had a conversation.

I'd dispute the charges if I were you

  1. Sorry about your haircut. I hate it when you want one thing and you get something you don't want.

    Have a fabulous day. ♥

    1. Yeah me too, Carol, a nightmare thing. This one might be the only squirrel besides the black squirrels further west I wasn't scared of.

  5. Maybe he was just admiring the haircut.

    1. I think he was having a larf at my expense and telling me to get my money back, F60.

    1. I was pretty surprised at how friendly he was, kind of like a black lab only chatty instead of giving out kisses.

    1. It's more of a strandtastic did you mix up the hedge clippers with the styling shears week, Steverino.

    1. It was a delightful surprise and he no doubt wanted my attention rather than stealing articles of clothing from the laundry basket as is more likely.

    1. It's no golden retriever but one of the few times I'd use "cute" and "squirrel" in the same sentence, Fi.

  12. I have no doubt the squirrel and you had a lovely conversation. I talk to animals and plants, too. Not, all. Only those that want conversation. It's the creativity in us that hear them. Yes, yes, I know, I know, it's a fine line to nutsoville. Hmmm, could the squirrel have been telling you where his nuts stash is.

    1. He really did approach me as I was putting the window down. For all I know he was asking me for change. Isn't is good for plants to talk to them, something about oxygen. I've been told I'm "too creative." I think I've crossed that line, looked in the want ads, have a line on a job and found housing.

  13. Awww I'm off for a haircut in a couple of hours; hope reading this post isn't an omen for me. A squirrel has knocked on our door a couple of times since we moved in; assume the previous tenant fed him.

    1. Well posting an old Walker Protest photo was just enough mojo to kick the pr*ck out, so perhaps. C'mon knock on my door, bring your bushy tail in...You moved? We have to catch up.

    1. The conversation or the haircut? Neither, really, I'm generally terrified of the chittering rats.

  15. Hi Jeanna, I hope the squirrel hadkind words about your hairdresser (I've used the same one for over 20 years & I'd cry if she gave it up!)... I'm also very relieved that it's not only me and my Dad who talk to the wildlife. I've had some of my best conversations with the goat down the road!... Okay, so maybe it's a wild goat, but she's a good listener.

    xx
