Being Cool At The Union...
...is a song on an lp by the same name from 1980, a decade in which I spent a nonsensical amount of time trying to do just that. It features at least two well known locals (we lost Clyde Stubblefield in 2017).
I found very little about it online but I'm guessing one of the DJs at our coolest radio station has a copy.

It was a song produced here by local artists and a jolly tune it was. About posers posing at the student union if I remember correctly which who really knows at this point. Rat Boy was being a scaredy cat so I had to pick him up. There was something he didn't like about the space the condiments were in. It was a good day of firsts and socialization for him. Unfortunately his encounter with actual cats at the pet store wasn't very well lit and the photos are shite.

ReplyDeleteLittle Rat Boy looks very happy being out with you. I read that it's a jazz tune. 1980 was around the time I started getting into jazz. I remember a jazz station that had a tagline of The Quiet Storm. That always cracked me up.

About your comment: true Jeanna, the bad thing is I thought I was steady and wasn't - balancing on those thin walls, I got stuck one time.
