Just Some Phone Pics

I did something to my knee last week and haven't been able to get around very well.

There's not much traffic on this road when I cross it on the bike trail, but it might be a popular place to race

Is pizza still considered essential? Was it ever? If not, shouldn't it be?

Ian's Mac 'n' Cheese Pizza. Ian's fed the 2011 protests around The Square

I think I twisted it walking around Oliver's huge arse front garden.

He's more fur than dog now

The Little Rat Boy was smart enough to chill out and catch a piece of sunshine while I ambled about.

Google is calling this Coral Honeysuckle, it's all around Oliver's front yard

It's been a week since I rode my bike and I'm losing my mind.

This gerbera daisy died when I left it inside last May, but is flourishing outside on my balcony now

At least it's given me more time to tend to my porch garden.

    1. It's gotten better, but still times it hurts like he$$. That humungous thing was divided between six people and there was still some left over. It was so big it wouldn't fit in the front seat.

    1. This place used to be hard to get to for those of us social distancing, but they opened a new location where you open the door and they chuck that sucker in. Have a great week, Sandee.

    1. Thank you, it's very frustrating when I've been so active which has been keeping me sane (or less crazy). It is pretty and I'd love to see the yellow and white kind.

  5. Oh thank you for sharing these photos Jeanna! they are a variety but they all made me happy and energized! I feel very sad though to hear about your knee :( I also face the same problem now but mine is due to inactivity and my upper body weight. Hope you feel better dear Jeanna, Please save a slice of that pizza for me (a big one will be much appreciated HAHA)

    1. I've had knee problems for 30 years, SQ. I lost a lot of weight and had some great PT then a good training program that was supposed to transition me a gym all over the past year. Now I feel as if I've had a set back and am eating so much bad stuff to boot. It's funny how being active can help me eat better.
At least you only have upper body weight, I have all over body weight, lol.
I do think my stupid knee is better, although it isn't close to where I'd like it to be and sometimes I feel like screaming when the pain kicks in.
I would gladly send you an entire Ian's pizza if I could. You may like their history which I might go into sometime considering I'm not taking many photos yet.
Yet, lol, it's been a week and I'm acting like it's been months.
Take care, Stevenson, you've inspired me to look for some indoor plants.

    1. It was free during the demonstrations of 2011 and people from around the world were calling in, paying for it. Fed lots of homeless people too. I hope so, too, Pat, it's getting to be a real concern.

    1. I do too, poor thing, doesn't understand the sudden neglect. Were you thinking about knee replacement, I can't remember what surgery you were talking about. Oh man, so many possibilities, lol. I feel like one of those posters of body parts you see in the Dr.'s office.

    2. I'm having cataract surgery in August, knock on wood, I don't need to cancel it again because of you know what. Knee replacement is my only option, according to the specialist I saw nearly 4 years ago. He said my knees were beyond the other options of shots, physical therapy, and something else. I was going to do it the following year, then hysterical cancer said me first. I smoke cannabis to keep the pain at bay. The pain is not major anymore unless I overdo it. I think the cannabis is healing the knees somehow. It's been over a year since I've had to use the cane daily. Since I'm hobbling okay, I think I don't need knee replacement. The other day I read that after the cartilage is completely gone, the bones will start rubbing against each others and bone spurs can develop. That has me thinking that maybe I ought to get the knee surgery. I want to be mobile until I die. A good goal.

    1. The stationary bike has always been an important part of my rehab, LF. But of course, my gym is closed and not sure I'd go anyway, especially with the resurgence of the virus here. I was hoping I could get back on my low step bike within a week, but here we are and I'm afraid I'd make it worse. Oliver is the best, such a loving little guy.

  9. Sometimes, you have to slow down to appreciate things you overlook, but I do hope you're better soon. Love that honeysuckle, such a pretty color. Oliver's lucky to have it around :)

I'm glad you are a part of 'My Corner of the World' this week! Thanks for linking up.

    1. I'm slowed way down, Betty, but maybe, like you say, it's for a good reason. Oliver lives in an impressive piece of land full of flowers and veggies and birds. There are lots of turkeys too.

    1. I wonder if it's the same thing, my cousin doesn't know about some of the flowers she inherited and keeps finding new ones. The person who planted it all set it up so when something dies, something new pops up. It does look like a kind of trumpet plant.
