Sun, fun and ice - can't get much better!
ReplyDeleteI know you've got that thick blood by now, Fi. I'm waiting for my Norwegian blood to win a fight with the Italian blood. Let's just say, basta, bambino, I'm going to chill by the fireplace and perhaps look out the window for the next few days.
DeleteLQQKS like they had a lot of fun I wouldn't be able to stay standing heheh!
ReplyDeleteHave a snowytastic week :-)
It's not the falling down for me (which would happen way before I stepped out on the ice) it's the getting up. Oy, remember when the toughest thing about skating was lacing up?
DeleteCool photos! Everyone looks so happy especially gramps.
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!
It was a happy bunch of sweaty people playing on the ice on a sunny day after a rare snowfall.
DeleteHello, it is great to see Grandpa out playing with the young crowd. I love cheese, any kind of cheese too. Enjoy your day, have a great new week ahead!
ReplyDeleteWell lets see that cheese, Eileen. I was struck by how fast and strong the older guys looked on the ice.
DeleteSunny and happy Sunday :)
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what your link is.
DeleteYou need a grandpa out there to round out the team. I'll stay in the car with you.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day. ♥
I assumed he was the kid's grandpa, don't really know and maybe it actually was Steven Spielberg out there trying to connect with real people. In single digit weather. Oh yeah, I haven't left my place since Sunday as every new day brings more snow, ice and bitter cold. Got my Valentine lights and ornaments up and the fireplace going. Gonna make some tea right now. My feet can't seem to get warm....brrrrr.
DeletePond Hockey, looks like a wonderful time. Very nice. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteI remember how intimidating those hockey rinks were even as a kid. It was much calmer and gentler than I remember, I'll have to go back again and look for the wild ones.
DeleteI can see grandpa's resemblance to Spielberg. You caught his cool move in the second photo. If that was me, with my foot up like that, you'd be taking a photo of me on my butt a moment later.
ReplyDeleteI was watching this little girl who kept wiping out and got a few shots of her but they weren't great. Funny though. There was a kid who only skated while holding onto a big plastic white bucket, ha. Watching everyone skate made it even clearer why young people and old people get along so well.
DeleteWe had a sunny,, wintery day yesterday...today the snow is falling and there are a lot of happy skiiers!
ReplyDeleteWe had some freezing rain and then snow. I see a pooch and some guy outside right now but we're getting colder and colder and another snowfall/storm coming soon so I think that dog is going to do what it needs to and run right back inside. When they start saying things like, "A high of zero degrees on Friday" I tag out.
DeleteThat looks like fun. I saw your comment on my blog about your cousin's cat. Please tell your cousin to get the cat's thyroid checked- that is a main cause of wight loss and an easy fix with a pill.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to do that right now. I think that was the problem with her other kitty, same age. This guy, Danie, is always hungry but keeps losing weight. Thank you Pilch.
DeleteSince the red moon, we have the hardest winds, so cold!
ReplyDeleteI love the red barn so awesome!
Hmm, might be a lunar Santa Ana. I'm sorry I missed it but have seen some incredible photos.
DeleteOh wow, that looks so nice. Everyone looks like they are having so much fun. :-) #TwinklyTuesday
ReplyDeleteI'd love to comment on your blog but you haven't linked to one that's up and running.
DeleteGreat winter activity photos and excellent one of the barn ~stay cozy, safe and warm ^_^
ReplyDeleteHappy Day to you,
A ShutterBug Explores,
aka (A Creative Harbor)
We got 7 more inches of snow dumped on us and it actually looks like winter now. You stay warm too, Carol and kisses to Zoe.
DeleteLOVE that red barn with the 2 silos! The ice hockey is fun:) (am saying that because in Holland they only have field hockey on the lawn).
ReplyDeleteHolland doesn't have ice hockey? I think of it as having two seasons, Tulip Spring and Ice Skating Winter where you can skate to work and to the stores because there are clear, smooth ice paths everywhere. And hot chocolate, there's plenty of hot chocolate and the good kind of chocolate too.
DeleteOMG!! Your captions have me rolling!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
- Lisa
Why thank you, Lisa. Not a great movie, but not a bad one and highly watchable.
DeleteWhen you live with snow, I guess you look forward to some snowy fun! What great pics and fun captions! Thanks for linking up at My Corner of the World!
ReplyDeleteYou were in the right place - looks far too cold and slippery for me!
ReplyDeleteMy pictures and Linky!
If you play it is not so cold.
ReplyDeleteGrandson and grandpa give a good picture!
