This week I'm struggling with finding something good to eat while welcoming the fall.
The tantalizing Norske Nook's Norwegian Pancakes with lingonberries was, surprise, very sweet |
This tasted better for breakfast after I found it too sweet for dinner. The pancakes, I mean the pancakes.
scoutwithneckerchief pointed out that these guys were missing something |
I don’t think I’ve ever seen straw critters before, that’s pretty amazing!
ReplyDeleteSomething tells me you guys would like it, well I'm not sure about Sister Precious. I'm kicking myself I missed the big ol' straw hog jumping over a fence.
DeleteLOL...you are too funny!!
ReplyDeleteI am dying laughing!!
I think I would like to hear the Godfather joke :)
- Lisa
Something lame about a farmer's mafia, Lisa.
DeleteJan says she could save a lot on pet food if she traded us for straw pets. Please tell her they have voracious appetites. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd if a live pet ran out of food she could feed you to it. Okay, horses have voracious appetites.
DeleteI like that "Do Not Text and Drive" piece. I shouldn't laugh, but I am. Pancakes sounds good to me right now. My sweet tooth is feeling deprived right now.
ReplyDeleteI should dig through some of my old blog prizes for you cuz you A. Followed the link, B. Read the post and C. Even read the captions.
DeleteRight into a wall made out of a pile of wood I tells ya, it was the darndest thing.
Ach, those were toooo sweet and I had Heath Bars for lunch yesterday.
I hope the artist patted his/her shoulder for being so clever.
DeleteI can't find the info on this installation, it's probably one of their Farm Forms and although I had copious notes, I'm fairly certain I did some housekeeping in the recreation info area of the apartment and very certain I don't feel like looking through everything to find out.
Deleteso funny...
ReplyDeletethank you for sharing
Ta Tanza, you make me hungry for boiled peanuts even though I've never had them before.
DeleteI love the straw critters. There are so many talented people.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day. ♥
There really are, Sandee.
DeleteThose pancakes look delicious! :)
ReplyDeleteThey were more than I could handle, Nikki-ann.
DeleteFun post and photos ~ love the 'straw dog' photo ~
ReplyDeleteHappy Day to you,
A ShutterBug Explores
Forever in a stare down, I remember how sunny and perfect the weather was that day.
Deletelingon berries are sure good with crepes.
ReplyDeleteHappy WW and coffee is on
They did remind me of crepes but not good ones. I worked next to a crepe food truck so got pretty spoiled.
DeleteThat's the first time I've seen straw art. I'm not counting scarecrows. That's pretty cool. I wouldn't have thought you could shape it that well that it's very recognizably a cow and a dog -- cute ones!
ReplyDeleteThe pancakes looks delish. Very tempting!
There's one with a pig jumping a fence I really wanted to see. No, ha, scarecrows don't count. I thought a collie and sheep would be better but this works, as if the horse ate too much hay.
DeleteHonestly, they look better than they tasted, the pancakes that is.
Thank you, too, for adding the pancakes to Tummy Tuesday. That was great!
ReplyDeleteI need to start eating better.
