Drying Out

It was pushing 60˚ today but is supposed to snow again Thursday. I went to check the condition of one of my favorite bike trails (closed) and the town swimming around it (drying out).

As I slowed down to look at the roadblocks by the trail parking lot a guy sped by shouting obscenities after I presume spitting out his wad of chaw while feeling around for his car gun (covered in porn and open cans of Old Mil).
Looney Tunes revenge scenarios ran through my head and it could have ended badly, but it didn't.

Then I really slowed down to take a look at things while remembering that no matter how serene a day you're having some dangerous idiot could be just around the corner.

Has its own stories to tell. Mostly involving hay

But a few other things caught my eye and I continued to bask in mother nature's bipolar high.

  1. Cool mural - but a little scary, as you say.

  3. Nice photos, we are currently experiencing snow too-although not as bad as England is getting. Thanks for sharing :)

    1. You're in France, Jane? I heard Europe was getting slammed, that's so weird. It did get colder today after being 60˚ (16) yesterday. I started gauging the weather by taking photos of the ice rink by my fitness center. A pond of water yesterday, today frozen over.

  6. That's one weird Santa. Yikes. I'm guessing it's there to scare the kids? Just saying.

    Have a fabulous day. ♥

  7. Maybe the Santa will be happier come Spring. In the meantime maybe he can scare people like that rude (to say it politely) dude. Hugs to you.

    1. That road rage guy was a fatal accident waiting to happen. Maybe the other statue can cheer up Evil Santa.

  8. Yay! Santa survives. I like that Santa. He looks like he's been to the Caribbeans and got a bit of a suntan after a well-deserved rest delivering presents for 24 hours. Although i do think he should have put on a little sunscreen.

  9. Hi Jeanna, sounds like you encountered a proper Hill Billy there. Drive with your doors locked!... The Looney Tunes theme tune alone makes me smile (fond childhood memories of sitting in front of the telly on a Saturday morning with the biscuit barrel). I wonder what ever happened to that old Rooster? Maybe he's sitting in a rocking chair on a porch somewhere, smoking a pipe and sharing stories of his younger years.... They don't make 'em like that anymore!... And that is a rather creepy looking Santa!

    xx
