I know someone who lived on the ice one winter behind the Memorial Union in the '80s. This isn't him.

Big Rope Little Dog
It's been a tough week so I'll leave you with a few more phone pics. This rope smells like you and you belong to me therefore ...

I thought when Aaron Rodgers broke his collarbone in the first quarter of that Viking game in mid-October it was some kind of karmic paymen...

This is hard for me to write not only because I'm broken up about Dexter's owner taking him back soon, but because being a dog perso...
A picture to launch a thousand tales!
ReplyDeleteI want to know what's in that shack.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a great food track, hope, they have a hot soup for him!
ReplyDeleteI bet it's a fishing shack, Mascha, but that would be an incredible idea.
DeleteCool shot!
ReplyDeleteFreezing, ha. No I think it was actually a nice day comparatively.

DeleteNice shot!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jane.
DeleteHi Jade, do people actually choose to live on ice? Brrrrr, just thinking about it makes me shiver... I do hope it was a food truck as it looks a long way to the nearest food shop!

Jade, that's a new one, I kind of like it. I knew someone, let's call him Francis, that did that one winter. He was already borderline homeless and thought it was a grand idea (makes sense if you knew him). I don't think it was a food shack, but I love the idea. There are some pretty nice fishing shacks out there, spacious and heated. They zip out there on an ATV and live the dream, haha.
DeleteFascinating image. You could write many a story around this :)
ReplyDeleteI think I'd write about Francis, the guy who spent the winter in a tent on the ice, DS.
DeleteBeautiful b&w.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Robert, I never know how to shoot snow and there's soooo much of it.
